Become A Camp Hope Counselor!

What is Camp Hope? Camp HOPE America is the first camping and mentoring initiative in the United States to focus on children exposed to domestic violence. It is a values-based, “Challenge by Choice” program with a focus on praising children for observed and developing character traits through the course of a six-day program and ongoing monthly events.

Why do we need camp counselors? Counselors are important cheerleaders in campers’ lives and your commitment, mentorship, and guidance can make a difference. 

• You must be between the ages of 18-24

• Attend Trauma-Informed Counseling Training (Provided by DCFOF)

• Camp Dates: June 6th - 11th, 2021

Camp Counselor Orientation : May 15th 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM with an hour lunch

*This is a sleep away camp, counselors would be traveling to the camp with staff and kids and staying with them over night.
