Director of Residential and Crisis Services

Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Developmental and Family Studies from the University of North Texas in 2012 and Master of Science in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University in 2014. She has worked in crisis intervention for the past 4 years. Previously, she has worked as a counselor in the Denton County Friends of the Family Battering Intervention and Prevention Program and as the Children’s Advocate and Counselor for the Emergency Shelter before moving into leadership. Taylor now oversees the operation of the Denton County Friends of the Family Emergency Shelter, which includes advocacy services, children’s program, 24-hour crisis hotline, counseling services, and the management of the facility.
