Board Member Linda Marshall, PhD

Linda joined the faculty of Texas Woman’s University with a MSSW degree in social work and a PhD in sociology, serving as Social Work Program Director for many years. With a focus on women’s issues and violence against women, she taught courses in both disciplines and helped forge an alliance between TWU and DCFOF, encouraging students’ interests in anti-violence work and the university’s support of the agency. She and her husband, also a professor at TWU, recently retired from academia and currently enjoy their children, two granddaughters, and their beloved cat Franny. They look forward to resuming travel as soon as humanly possible. Linda is grateful to be affiliated with this phenomenal agency.
