Annual Report

We're highlighting our mission and impact- check out our 2017 Annual Report. Thank you to all our volunteers, donors and community advocates who invested in safety, hope, healing, justice, and prevention for victims of sexual and domestic violence. Because of you, we were able to help thousands of women and children last year access comprehensive services. We provided 2,412 child and adolescent counseling services to 231 children, our Prevention, Education, and Awareness Team educated 28,956 students and community members and 15,405 Adult Counseling Services were provided. This is just a snapshot of the impact happening right here at Friends of the Family.

From Our Executive Director

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our agency. Compassionate hearts like yours are what has brought Friends of the Family to where it is today.

When our agency was founded in 1980, society told us that domestic violence was a "private matter". Community members like you and I would have been told to look away from the violence that was happening around us, and victims would have continued to suffer in silence.

That is not the world we live in today, and we owe it all to people like you.

Every time I pick up my phone and it is a local business owner, or church member, or rotary club president that wants to help our clients heal, it brings me hope. It is through our collective grassroots efforts that we will continue to bring safety, healing, and justice to those that need it most.

Let's paint Denton County purple together.
